Overview of Software V&V

Software Verification and Validation (V&V) engages participants across a variety of functional areas or groups (e.g., Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Quality personnel, Safety, and Project Management).  Verification ensures that software being developed or maintained satisfies specified functional and performance requirements, while Validation ensures that you fulfilled the requirements for a specific intended use (i.e., "you built the right thing").

V&V activities are performed throughout the software life cycle and include, at a minimum:
